The Financial Services Authority has produced a revised, June 2011 version of its “Brief Guide to the European Union and its Legislative Processes”, which can be read here.
The guide covers:
- The main EU institiutions;
- How EU legislation is enacted and how it takes effect in member states;
- The EU supervisory architecture for financial regulation; and
- Interaction between UK national institutions and EU bodies.
The guide also contains a comprehensive list of EU terms and acronyms.
