Changes to company names examination policy
Companies House announced yesterday that it “will no longer accept company names on documents submitted to us which contain minor variations or typographical errors. This change of policy is to ensure that documents are entered onto the correct company record”.
A small number of abbreviations will continue to be accepted – as set out in the Companies House press release here – and the word “THE” can be omitted, but only at the front of the name
Where a name has an abbreviation other than those set out in the press release, the document will be rejected by Companies House.
