Reviewing the potential costs, benefits and risks of a Common European Sales Law
The UK government this week launched a call for evidence on the European Commission’s proposed Regulation for a “Common European Sales Law” (CESL). We discussed the draft Regulation in this post of October 2011.
The call for evidence:
- Describes the principle of a CESL and the scope and content of the Regulation
- Sets out various suggested advantages and disadvantages of a CESL for consumers and businesses
- Gives an overview of key articles in the Regulation.
The call for evidence closes on 21 May 2012.
